Sclerotherapy is a specialised treatment for blue veins and spider veins, done by injection of a solution into the vessel. This provokes a reaction in the injection vessel, resulting in sclerosis of the vessel, which ,eans that the walls are the vessel harden and grow closed, leaving the vein invisible to the eye.
